Saturday Southern Illinois track and field participated in their second outdoor meet of the season. 

Senior distance runner Claire Ayers set her new personal best with a time of 4:33.11 in the 1500m and finished 92nd out of 185 competitors. 

Senior Rachel Anderson set another personal best running the 3000m with a 10:24.17 time ranking ninth out of 34 runners. 

Dawson Smith finished in the top 20 for the men’s 3000m with a time of 8:59.44 and Ethan Senti finished the 5000m with a time of 14:29.49 on the men’s side. 

The Salukis will be back in action Friday March 31 when they head to Austin, Texas for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays that end on April 1.
