Salukis swept by Drake

Saturday night the Salukis fell to Drake 3-0 in a three-set match. The Dawgs played a close first match with the Bulldogs, only losing 25-20 thanks to a four-point scoring streak to put Drake ahead towards the end of the set. 

The Salukis started a close second set with a kill but Tatum Tornatta and a four-point scoring streak, but fell a few points short, losing the second set 25-23. In the last set, the Salukis fell behind after a six-point streak by the Bulldogs, putting them ahead 9-4. The Dawgs followed this with a streak of their own, where two of their five points were kills by Nataly Garcia. 

Drake took the third set 25-17.

Southern Illinois was led by Nataly Garcia who finished the game in double-digit kills, 17, and two blocks. Tatum Tornatta followed Garcia with 11 kills and two blocks. Annabelle Sulish had seven kills and Imani Hartfield finished the match with five kills and two blocks.

Claudia Bobb, Garcia, and Anna Jaworski all finished the match with double-digit digs. 

The Salukis will travel to Springfield, MO on Nov. 16 to take on Missouri State with hopes of bringing home a conference win.
