Saluki Soccer Taken down by Missouri State

The Saluki women’s Soccer team were taken down Thursday night by the Missouri State Bears at home.

With a scoreless first half for both teams, the Salukis (4-3-2) were thrown off of their unbeaten streak when the Bears (6-4-2), scored at the 71st and 84th minute mark giving them the win with a 2-0 score.

Junior Sam Dodd had a close shot in the 50th minute to start off the second half. Dodd led the team with three shots. Following Dodd with two shots and one shot on goal was senior Kaitlin DuCharme, and junior Riley Maulick with one shot and one shot on goal.

While the Salukis lost, they had a six game unbeaten streak, which is the longest in the young program’s history.

The Salukis will be traveling to Evansville, Indiana on October 2 to take on the Aces with hopes of bringing home another conference win.
