Oscar Bram, left, and Domingo Valdez, both of Carbondale, prepare pastries Monday at La Unica Bakery in Carbondale. Bram said he works almost every day and helps cook all of the bakery’s pastries. La Unica serves a variety of Guatemalan and Spanish pastries and has been in business for about two years. Alexa Rogals-Daily Egyptian
