Owner of Sam’s Cafe, Yaser Ibrahim, welcomes customers to his restaurant Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Carbondale, Illinois. Ibrahim has been in business for 29 years. “It’s just not the same anymore ... Carbondale, you know. I used to get airline tickets. My friends would say, ‘Where are you going.’ I’d say, ‘Carbondale,’ and they would say ‘Oh, O.K.’ Now I say ‘Carbondale and they say ‘where,” Ibrahim said.
