SIU Women’s Soccer coach Craig Roberts placed on administrative leave

October 18, 2022

SIU women’s soccer head coach Craig Roberts has been placed on administrative leave, Saluki Athletics announced Tuesday, just nine days before the beginning of the team’s possible first appearance in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament and with just two games left in the regular season. No reason was stated.

In the meantime, assistant women’s soccer coaches Alyssa Krause and Matt Ball will take up the role Roberts had in his absence. Despite the absence of coach Roberts, the Salukis will look to extend their undefeated streak to seven with two road games against Valparaiso on Thursday and UIC on Sunday.

The DE has reached out for comment from Roberts himself.
