SIU awards 12 Marion High School seniors scholarships

SIU will be delivering in-person scholarships to high school seniors recipients in the southern Illinois area. On May 3rd, the Interim director of admissions, Amanda Sutton, was present at the Scholarship Night Program at Marion high school to hand out scholarships to twelve Marion high school seniors. 

“It’s important for schools in our own area to know SIU is here for them,” Sutton said. SIU will be handing out scholarships to six other area schools.

Gilsualdo Aguilar, will be attending SIU for Business Management, received the Chancellor’s Choice scholarship and the Salukis’ Gold scholarship. 

Megan Holmes received the University of Excellence scholarship. 

Taylor King, will be attending SIU for nursing, received the Chancellor’s Choice scholarship and the Salukis’ Gold scholarship. 

Gabe Kosco received the Salukis’ Silver scholarship. 

Bella Morris, will be attending SIU for broadcast journalism, received the Chancellor’s Choice scholarship and the Salukis’ Gold scholarship. 

Ben Parks received the University of Excellence scholarship 

Gabby Schipper, will be attending SIU for Physiology, received the University of Excellence scholarship and Chancellor’s Choice scholarship. 

Jeremiah Warner received the University of University of Excellence scholarship. 

Ben Parks received the University Excellence scholarship. 

Nathaniel Sanders received the Salukis’ Gold scholarship. 

Alexandria Skuta, will be attending SIU for Business Management, received the Salukis Silver scholarship. 

Jayda Smith, will be attending SIU for Accounting, received the University of Excellence scholarship and Chancellor’s Choice scholarship. 

Dyson Roye received the Chancellor’s scholarship award. 

SIU will be handing out scholarships at Herrin high school on May 6th.
