First responders arrive at a car crash in Carbondale, IL.

Multiple first responders arrived at a car crash this afternoon in Carbondale, IL.

A black vehicle went off of the road and crashed near Happy Hair located on 204 W College St, Carbondale, IL. First responders had to spray the car with a fire extinguisher. The driver was taken away in an ambulance.

The police officer said that the driver had a medical emergency and was not in control of the vehicle at the time of the crash. Bystanders reported seeing the driver slumped over and convulsing prior to running off of the road.
