Yuening Zhao, a second year PhD student, gets a flu shot at the SIU Health Center Flu Shot Clinic Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at the Student Services Building in Carbondale, Ill. “I never had a flu shot ever since I became an adult. This year, I feel like because a lot of the COVID symptoms might be similar to a regular flu, I was thinking just in case,” Zhao said. As flu season approaches researchers are worried there will be peaks of flu and COVID-19 cases at the same time according to UCSF.edu.
