Mayoral incumbent John “Mike” Henry has beat out newcomer Nathan Colombo in the Carbondale mayoral race by 214 votes, or roughly 10%, according to officials at the Jackson County Courthouse.

1,976 people turned out to the polls for the election, according to provided information. The City of Carbondale has a population of 25,899, according to the United States Census Bureau.

Incumbents Thomas Grant and Adam Loos have been re-elected to Carbondale’s City Council, along with returning member Lee Fronabarger. The candidates beat out newcomer Jerrold Hennrich and incumbent Navreet Kang.
