CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In their second tournament of their spring season Saluki women’s golf finished third in the Islander’s Classic out of 11 teams in the field.

Houston Baptist finished first in the Classic at +28, followed by Texas A and M Corpus Christi who finished with a +51 in the Classic.

As a team four golfers finished in the top 20 of the classic for Southern, sophomore Emilyee McGiles. graduate student Jackie Biggs and junior Erica Kerr all finished tied for ninth teeing to a score of +14.

Junior Lili Klekner-Alt finished in 20th with a score of +21,  sophomore Moyea Russel finished 24th overall by shooting 80 in the final round, to round out the scoring for SIU.

The Salukis will next be in action for the Spring Break Shootout in Dade City, Florida March 10th through the 12th.
