Friends and family of the late Ethan Baker gather to celebrate what would have been his 19th birthday Wednesday in the parking lot opposite Best Buy in Carbondale. Southern Illinois Imports, a car-trading group Baker was a member of, hosted the memorial. “It started off as just a small high school group and evolved from there,” said Jason Silver, head of Southern Illinois Imports and Murphysboro native. “It’s Ethan’s birthday today, so we decided to host this memorial for him.
