Aidan Osborne • Daily Egyptian Kari Hammond, left, a junior from Marion studying psychology, drinks water Wednesday as part of a survey for Psychology 211 as surveyors J.K. Brandon, center, a sophomore studying psychology from Buffalo Grove, and Luke Hayden, a communicative sciences and disorders major, look on. The goal of the survey was to see if students could determine whether they were drinking tap, filtered or bottled water. Students would sample three cups, then try to identify which type of water was in each cup. “We wanted to see if people can really tell the difference between water types, or if preferences come from marketing,” said Brandon.
