Snapchat may look slightly different come November.

The social media app Snapchat is where people share images that disappear in ten seconds. In November the app will add news and advertising. It will be called Snapchat Discovery.

Snapchat Discovery is going to be a tool to show users news articles, videos and advertisements. Some advertisements might even be for upcoming TV shows and movies. These new additions will also vanish after ten seconds.


This new addition would give Snapchat the chance to finally make more valuable revenue.

Most of Snapchat users are between the ages of 18-34, with more than half being under the age of 25. Snapchat’s goal is to reach this target audience with the new advertising plan.
