In response to Joyce Harper’s claim that the Non-Traditional Student Service is non-functioning, I emphatically disagree! I understand your concerns, Joyce, however I believe you are looking to the wrong source for a remedy. Why not initiate a meeting of non-traditional yourself?

I have had several opportunities to utilize the numerous services offered by the Non-Traditional Student Service. I have participated in workshops, been apprised of scholarship availability, and solicited some much needed guidance concerning transitional procedures.

Chuck Van Rossum and his staff at Non-Traditional Student Services do an excellent job at meeting the needs, the true needs, of the non-traditional population here at SIUC. They confront issues with sincerity and a genuine interest in the concerns of non-traditional students. All one has to do is ask.
