Cindy Devereaux, a SIUC senior in retail fashion from Germantown Tenn., died early Friday morning at Barnes Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.

The cause of death has not yet been released by the hospital.

Devereaux was membership chairperson of the Alpha Gamma Delta soriety.

Stephanie Edwards, Alpha Gamma Delta president, said Devereaux will be greatly missed.

She was a very happy person, Edwards said. Anytime someone was down and out, she was always there for them.

A memorial service for Devereaux is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m., at the Newman Center, 705 S. Washington St.

A scholarship will also be established in her memory. Donations for the scholarship can be made at the memorial service or can be sent to Karen Gustafson, treasurer, Alpha Gamma Delta, 104 Greek Row.

Devereaux was 21-years-old and would have graduated in spring, 1996.
