Jeremy Smith, of Johnson City, polishes the grill of his green 1923 Model T. He said it was in poor condition when he traded it and it took about a year and a half to rebuild. He said he put the car together using parts from a myriad of sources. “We found stuff on Craigslist and e-bay and used just about everything you can think of,” said Smith, who recieved a degree in technical resource management from SIU in 2009. He also said he was happy with the return of the event after its hiatus. “We used to come to it back in the day,” Smith said. “We’re really glad to see it back here locally because a lot of times we would travel to Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, a lot of different events and stuff and to have it back locally is really, really nice.”
