Minority Law Day to give law school-entry strategies

As part of Diversity Week events, the SIU School of Law will present Minority Law Day seminars on the best strategies of getting into law school, the application process and financial assistance on Saturday.
The seminars will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Room 108 of the Lesar Law Building. Lunch will be provided at this free event.
The Black Law Student Association, the Hispanic Law Student Association, the Native American Law Student Association and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association are sponsoring the day.

Minorities are underrepresented in law, said Carlos Masso, president of the Hispanic Law Student Association. This is our way of helping minorities be aware of law school, application and attendance. It helps the numbers.
