A 23-year-old resident of Carbondale reported that his vehicle was broken into sometime between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Tuesday at the city lot across from Davies Gymnasium. Reported stolen were 20 CDs and a class ring. The estimated value is $600. Police have no suspects.

Jerome Q. Beck, 20, of Carbondale, was arrested on a Jackson County Warrant Wednesday at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for failure to appear in court. Beck was taken to the hospital after he complained about chest pains.
Beck was taken to the Jackson County Jail, where he posted $250 bond and was released.
