The SIUC Police and the Carbondale Fire departments responded to a fire call at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday at Schneider Hall. The fire was confined to a trash chute. There were no injuries and no reported damage to the building.

A 20-year-old John A. Logan Community College student reported at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday his car was stolen from lot 94, north of the Communications Building. The car was recovered at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday in lot 106 on Wall Street. There is no suspect information. The student did not press charges.
