Joe Clark, the former principal of Eastside High School (New Jersey) whose approach to discipline was featured in the film Lean On Me, will speak tonight at 8 in the Student Center Auditorium.

Clark fought against the drug use, vandalism and violence that took place in the school before his arrival in 1982. In one day, he expelled 300 students.

Clark’s speech, titled Lean On Me, is sponsored by the University Honors Program and is part of the Charles D. Tenny Lecture Series opening.
