Man bitten by dog, may need shots – owner sought

An SIUC student and Carbondale Animal Control are looking for a woman who was exercising her dogs at the Marberry Arboretum near South Wall Street and Pleasant Hill Road Sunday morning.
At about 10 a.m. Sunday an SIUC student was running at the arboretum when he was bit by a dog that a white female was exercising with two other dogs.
One dog was white and gray, another was dark brown and the third was black. No further description of the female who was walking the dogs is available.

Animal Control officials are asking anyone with information to contact them at 457-3200 extension 424 so they can determine whether or not the man will need a rabies shot.
