Suspects sought after knife-wielding robbery

University police are seeking four men in connection with an armed robbery of an SIUC student over the weekend.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. Saturday between Life Science I and Life Science II. According to a safety alert issued Tuesday by the Department of Public Safety, the 18-year-old victim alerted authorities Monday.
Police reported the victim was approached by two males in a group of four, one of which was allegedly wielding a knife and stole his duct-tape wallet containing $28.

The victim told police he was punched, fell to the ground and was robbed while lying on his stomach.
Department of Public Safety officials had no other information.
The incident marks the sixth time this semester that campus crime has spurred public alerts from the Department of Public Safety.
One of the incidents involved a sexual assault in a residence hall, and the others involved battery and robbery.
