‘Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj’ Rated R

The latest unnecessary and unwanted sequel out of Hollywood arrives. Taj (Kal Penn) Van Wilder’s Indian assistant from the first film heads off to college in London, where he looks to not only further his studies but to teach the British kids how to relax and party. The movie looks to answer several questions: Can this series work without Van himself, Ryan Reynolds? And will anyone actually want to see a sequel that no one asked for? Only the box office will tell.

A summary of this movie is probably not even necessary, but here it goes: The movie follows the two years leading up to the birth of Jesus, telling how Mary and Joseph lived and coped with this amazing miracle and how they made the trek to Bethlehem to give birth to the son of God. It’s just in time for Christmas, folks.

‘Turistas’ Rated R

This is the latest horror movie, where teens are tortured and murdered after venturing into exotic hotspots and listening to the creepy locals. In this film, the backpacking teens are in Brazil, and, after being robbed and marooned in a bus accident, they seek the help of a man living deep in the jungle, who conceals an ominous secret. Wonder what that secret is? The movie stars Josh Duhamel and some dumb blonde chicks who will probably die first.
