Sports Banter:

What is your upset pick this weekend?

“The upset for college football fans is that, for the first time this season, no team in the top 25 will lose to a team that is not ranked. No. 11 Missouri will fall to No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 1 LSU will not lose the top spot after a win over No. 17 Kentucky, and the weekend will feature the most by-the-books contests in recent memory.”

“The Saints over the Seahawks. I don’t think Seattle is that good, and I’m disregarding the Seahawks’ home-field advantage because there’s no way New Orleans loses its first five games. It has to come together for the Saints at some point, right?”

“Randy Moss over Terrell Owens. While the game itself doesn’t necessarily classify as an upset I think all the pressure for T.O. to have the game of his life will hinder his performance and the Pats will get back at him for his end zone performance earlier in the year.”

“I think the Chiefs are due for a win. I mean, they’ve been playing kind of bad right now, but I think they can play a lot better than what they have been doing though. They had a good offense last year, and they haven’t really been rolling like they were last year. And Larry Johnson, he’s due for a big game, a 100-yard game.”
