Morris Library progress
January 28, 2009
Many students cannot remember a time when Morris Library was open on more than two floors.
Its $48 million renovation began in January 2006 and has been plagued by months of delays because of construction and weather problems. Administrators have pushed back the scheduled completion date several times.
The university has not received the money needed to finish the sixth and seventh floors, and many books are still housed at McLafferty Annex.
