Students soak up the sun
April 22, 2009
As students across campus scramble toward a final push for final grades, many got a welcomed taste of Vitamin D.
Many students gathered to soak up the sun’s rays as Wednesday’s temperatures stayed consistently in the 70s throughout the day.
The warm, sunny trend is expected to continue into the weekend, with projected highs ranging from 80 to 84 degrees from today to Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The sunny skies should be a welcome forecast to hundreds expected to attend Carbondale’s fourth annual Splashin’ Saturday events, including the Doc Spackman Memorial Triathlon at 8 a.m. and the Great Cardboard Boat Regatta at noon. Both events are held at Campus Lake. Those interested in more information should visit http://splashinsaturday.com.
