Cadet David Frey, a freshman from Canton studying mechanical engineering, swims while keeping his firearm out of the water Wednesday during the Army ROTC Battalion’s Combat Water Survival Training at the Edward J. Shea Natatorium. The training included building a personal flotation device using the cadet’s uniform, learning how to jump off the high dive with a weapon in hand and understanding the proper way to remove gear underwater. –
