Jackson County Health Department reports 19 new cases of COVID-19, three deaths

Jackson County Health Department reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday and three deaths.

The deaths were that of a female and male in their 90s, and a male in his 80s.

There have been 3,577 confirmed cases in Jackson County and 58 deaths, according to the release, and 3,185 individuals have been released from isolation in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Franklin and Williamson Counties reported 87 new cases Monday and two deaths.

Statewide, the Illinois Department of Health reported 4,453 new cases and 105 additional deaths.

There have been 942, 362 positive cases in the state of Illinois and 16,074 deaths.

The Jackson County Health Department asks all residents to follow public health guidelines by wearing a mask in public, maintaining social distance, avoiding social gatherings, washing hands frequently and working with health department officials as they conduct contact tracing.
