Jackson County reports 20 new cases of COVID-19, Franklin and Williamson counties report 77

Jackson County Health Department reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.

As of Sunday, there have been 2,162 confirmed cases in Jackson County and 28 deaths, according to a release from the health department and 1,711 individuals have been released from isolation in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Franklin and Williamson Counties reported 77 new cases Sunday.

As of Sunday, there have been  573,616 positive cases in the state of Illinois and  10,742 deaths.

SIU reported 37 cases for the week, 36 were students and 1 faculty/staff.

The Jackson County Health Department asks all residents to follow public health guidelines by wearing a mask in public, maintaining social distance, avoiding social gatherings, washing hands frequently and working with health department officials as they conduct contact tracing.
