Members of the Boys and Girls Club in Carbondale work on their dream projects Monday during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The dream project let the members of the club get creative with what they want to do or what they hope will happen in the future. Some members dreamed for world peace while others dreamed to play basketball. One member, Savon Kirksey, a junior at Carbondale Community High School, dreamed about showing people it’s okay to be themselves. The Day of Service also featured activities such as making get-well cards for children at Shriner’s Hospital and Valentine’s Day cards for military personnel.
