Aaron Connor, a senior from Murphysboro studying exercise science, admires his catch Monday at Kinkaid Lake in Murphysboro. Connor, president of the Saluki Bassers fishing team, said he tries to make it out to the lake at least twice a week. Connor said he could have bought a brand new truck with all the money he has spent on fishing gear in his life. “There’s still nothing I’d rather be doing more than this,” he said.
