This photo was taken on Friday, Aug. 28 in Neely Hall by a student who must remain anonymous for privacy reasons. The Daily Egyptian recently ran a story about how chairs were being placed outside of students dorms to signify that they were in quarantine and required meal delivery. A student from Neely Hall whose suite mate is in quarantine is reporting that since the DEs article came out, the chairs have been removed. Im frustrated with the universitys COVID-19 and contact tracing response, the student told the DE. My suitemate has come into contact with someone and has been quarantined in his room, however I was never contacted by the university or my suitemate about the situation. This lack of communication has possibly put my life and many other students lives at risk and things need to change.

While wearing his DIY Shrinky Dink earrings he made that night, Chancellor Davis, 15, traces a photo of Kaonashi also known as “No Face” from the animated film “Spirited Away” during Teen Craft Night at the Marion Carnegie Library. “I definitely think it is a positive outlet for the kids to come in here and have a little bit more of a normal environment. We don’t talk about COVID and the world, we just have fun. They get to have a creative outlet and enjoy just being around other teens.” Coordinator of Young Adult Services, Mandee Villa said on Aug. 26, 2020. The library will be holding craft nights for teenagers ages 12 to 19 every Wednesday with social distancing guidelines in place.
