Gov. Bruce Rauner will make multiple scheduled appearances Friday in southern Illinois, according to a press release from his office.

The governor is scheduled to:

• Meet with students in Carbondale High School’s Rebound program at 8 a.m. at 205 N. Oakland Ave. in Carbondale

• Address the Marion Chamber of Commerce Legislative Summit at 11:30 a.m. at the Kokopelli Clubhouse at 1527 Champions Dr. in Marion

• Stop by Giant City State Park Lodge & Restaurant at 12:45 p.m. at 460 Giant City Lodge Rd. in Makanda

• Cut the ribbon to open the 2016 Du Quoin State Fair and walk in the Twilight Parade at 5:30 p.m. at Du Quoin State Fairgrounds at 655 Executive Dr. in Du Quoin
